Days 10-15
Timer on…
Good lord I have been very lax on writing…
Day 10 was a Thursday and I graded most of the day (almost 8 hours). I did ballet, yoga, and the wedding routine in between each section of grading…so…a lot…
Day 11 was a Friday, and I did two hours of yoga in the morning, along with walking the dogs…which is an everyday thing…
Day 12 I was a Saturday and I walked the dogs and walked on stilts that day in a parade. I also did the wedding routine…
Day 13 was a Sunday and I graded all day, again, with ballet, wedding routine, and yoga in there…
Day 14 was yesterday and I did a proper wedding routine with 40 minutes of cardio and then the circuit of crunches, push-ups, squats, biceps, triceps, and more abs…
Today I walked the dogs, had rehearsal, and did the wedding routine along with some yoga during my grading (4 hours).
And…with that I’m caught up on a summary of what I’ve been doing for the workout, but aside from that a lot has happened in the last couple of days: Saturday was a surprise wedding shower thrown for me by my lovely friends, here, in Sullivan County, NY, and they even thought/found my friends who live sort of nearby: New Jersey and New Hampshire. Nick and I were so honored. I can’t believe he kept the secret.
Early Sunday morning was the horrible mass shooting in Orlando, Florida, and reflection of what it is to love and commit really came to the forefront. That day I (also) worried about my friend Troy, from grad school, who is from Orlando, is gay, and is Latino. I was worried that he knew people, and then last night I found out that he died of heart failure while running yesterday…the world is haywire, right now…Troy was such a lovely human being and the 49 lives that were lost in Orlando, were unnecessary losses. It makes me want to go back to my plan of studying the negative imagination, again, but…right now…I just want to mourn and love the lives that have been lost through loving those that are still here…
