Advising Ability
At SUNY Sullivan, we believe in holistic/intrusive advising, which means we become very involved in our student's success. I attempt to do this by e-mailing every student at the beginning of the semester to tell them that I am available during office hours or appointments to discuss anything and everything; I'll also buy them their beverage at our school cafe. I also e-mail them their grades on their 3rd, 5th, and Midterm grade reports. I also actively use our Starfish system. In addition, I make sure to meet with every single one of them on or before Registration starts to check in and ensure their track sheets for their degree will be completed promptly. I practice holistic advising by holding office hours three times a week, two meetings for the theater majors each week, and tutoring in the learning commons.

At SUNY Sullivan, we believe in providing as many opportunities for student engagement and success. Our Annual Report of Teaching Faculty details the following:
The Student Evaluations of Educational Quality (SEEQ) are in the Teaching Effectiveness tab. All those SEEQs include student comments (qualitative) and their ratings (quantitative) of my personality and character.
